THE BRIEF

Transforming a blank canvas into a vibrant, colourful family home was the challenge for Maia and Adrian. They swapped their dream of a Victorian terrace in London for a new build in Wargrave Road, in a Berkshire village. Creating a family-friendly, welcoming space full of personality (and free of dull greys) was key, especially with their differing tastes and styles.

THE DETAILS

Starting in the early build stages, we supported the architect’s plans with detailed drawings. These included lighting and cabinetry layouts, whilst still ensuring builders’ deadlines were met.

Maia and Adrian were new to buying off-plan. We therefore guided them through selecting flooring, kitchens and bathrooms with confidence.

For the interiors, we focused on their needs for a fun, lively colourful family home. It needed to be perfect for their busy lifestyle and entertaining. From room-by-room decór schemes to furniture that suited their budget, we balanced practical choices with a few standout investment pieces to make the space feel truly special.

Everything is built to our exact measurements. Nothing adapted, nothing off-the-shelf.

THE SHOWSTOPPER

This open-plan living space blends warmth, vibrancy and modern elegance. Deep navy cabinetry anchors the kitchen whilst soft sage dining chairs complement the natural tones of the garden. We included thoughtfully layered textures – leather barstools, a cosy sofa and patterned cushions – to add depth and comfort. It makes the space equally suited for everyday living and entertaining. Subtle decorative touches, from fresh florals to curated artwork, complete the final look.

INSIDE OUT

We used shades of green and natural textures to echo the garden – a simple trick to help the inside flow to the outside.

THE RESULT

Maia and Adrian had a beautiful house. What they needed was a home. One that held both of their personalities without either one giving way. That’s what Wargrave Road became- specific, colourful and completely theirs.
