THE BRIEF

Jo and Mark’s 1950s dormer bungalow had all the potential to become their forever home. However, they felt overwhelmed by the constant decisions required during the renovation. They worried their hesitations would lead to a safe, uninspired result that didn’t reflect their personality. Wanting to avoid this, they asked us to step in and guide them through the process.

HOVER & SEE THE CHANGE

THE DETAILS

We started by defining their unique style, giving them the confidence to make decisions that felt right for them. To ensure the home felt cohesive and inviting, we created a design scheme that ran seamlessly throughout their 1950s dormer bungalow. We balanced practical needs with personality, a home for the 21st Century. By managing the project alongside them, we helped make the journey less stressful, ensuring no detail was overlooked.

“Kate turned furnishing our home – something that we viewed as a bit of a chore – into a process we really enjoyed”

THE SHOWSTOPPER

This tranquil bedroom, featuring bespoke cabinetry, was shaped by words like calm, sanctuary, and serene. These guided us towards a beautifully balanced chalky green palette—bold yet effortlessly soothing. To create a truly immersive feel, we embraced colour drenching, carrying the soft green tones across the walls, cabinetry, and even the curtains. It’s a cohesive, cocooning space that feels both stylish and restful.

THE RESULT

The result is a home brimming with light, personality, and warmth. Jo and Mark now have a space they truly love—one that invites relaxation and effortlessly brings friends together. It’s everything they dreamed of and anything but ordinary. With a newfound confidence, their 1950s dormer bungalow has been transformed into a forever home, enriched with bold colours, thoughtfully layered furnishings and a sense of joy in every corner.

CLIENT WORDS

“Kate’s guidance, vision
and attention to detail was truly incredible – constantly challenging us to think outside of our comfort zones. Without Kate, our home would be another neutral and safe
run of the mill house but we now have a thoughtful, bold, bright and truly unique space. We look at colours and furnishings in a completely different light, thank you Kate.“
